Valentine “Mike” Manning is a Mid-Island Mortgage loan officer based out of the company’s Westbury, NY, headquarters. He is licensed in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
Offering more than two decades of comprehensive mortgage industry experience, Mike has expertise across nearly every component of the mortgage business, which he tirelessly puts to work for his clients, ensuring a smooth and seamless process. His underwriting background serves his clients particularly well, as he is able to identify potential challenges before they become true obstacles and is, therefore, able to devise solutions well beforehand. He also provides his clients with a uniquely educational mortgage experience, as he began his career as a schoolteacher. Clients, therefore, appreciate his hand-held guidance during what is often the largest financial transaction they will ever pursue.
Mike began his mortgage career at Transamerica, selling second mortgages. He later became an underwriter within the retail and, later, wholesale divisions at Delta Funding Corp. His career further grew to include management roles in which he oversaw underwriters and loan officers at various mortgage firms.
In 2013, Mike joined Mid-Island Mortgage as an underwriter. Since that time, he has grown to specialize in renovation loans as well as difficult transactions for borrowers that may require greater hands-on attention plus the knowledge of a long-time underwriter.
Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Education from C.W. Post College (now known as Long Island University Post) in Brookville, NY.
